It was Alex Turner's birthday a couple of weeks ago (January 6) and I've been meaning to write this post as a commemoration (and since I'm obsessed with him). If you haven't been exposed to Alex Turner, perhaps you know of the Arctic Monkeys; if you don't know them, they're a British rock group that are bloody amazing.
(my phone background)Alex Turner currently plays guitar and lead vocals for 2 bands: The Arctic Monkeys and his side project with The Rascal's Miles Kane, The Last Shadow Puppets. Although the more famous Arctic Monkeys only have 3 full albums, they have countless numbers of EPs that I only just recently found, and these EPs and singles more than doubled my song count for the band. The Last Shadow Puppets, currently, have one album out. Alex also sung in Dizzee Rascal's single Temptation--the epitome of Brit music mixing grime and rock together, and music to your ears.

So Alex Turner is dating this girl Alexa Chung--you might know her from the MTV show It's On with Alexa Chung (which got cancelled...so sad). You also might notice that their names have a difference of one letter. BAD SIGN. Also, she's taller than him--more bad bad bad. Also, she has a very close resemblance to a horse; a horse with great fashion. They've been together for over a year, and although they remind me of brother and sister, then are the epitome of a perfect couple. And currently, they live in Brooklyn when they're both not busy with music or TV, which means that it is a perfect location to camp outside their house for a couple hours in hopes of catching a glimpse of Alex.
